The village of Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island will uphold its “Surfing Capital of Canada” reputation when the O’Neill Cold Water Classic comes to town October 25-31st. More than one hundred of the world’s top surfers will hit the waves from the pristine beaches of Cox Bay to compete for $145,000 in prize money. They’ll also get a chance to savour all that Tofino offers visitors during our famed “storm watching” season ― warm and welcoming accommodations, fantastic culinary choices from award winning restaurants, and up-close access to the forces of nature that make the area one of the most desirable coastal destinations year-round.

How to AVOID a PARKING TICKET

1. Do NOT block driveways or park within 5 meters of a fire hydrant
2. Do NOT park on side walks
3. Do NOT park on Multi Use Path
4. Park with vehicle heading the correct direction

Main Parking Areas

• South Chesterman Parking Lot
• Mid Chesterman Parking Lot
• North Chesterman Parking Lot / Lynn Road
  - No vehicles blocking gate at N. Chesterman parking lot
  - Parking allowed on beach side of these roads only
  - Do NOT park on the opposite side of road during this event
• Howard Drive
  - Parking is allowed on both sides of the road
• Osprey Lane
  - Parking allowed ONLY on East side of road
  - No parking allowed on beach side of road
  

You'll get a parking ticket if you ...

• Block a driveway
• Park within 5 meters of a fire hydrant
• Park within 6 meters of a Stop Sign
• Park on sidewalks/boulevard or on a Multi-use path
• Cause an obstruction while parking
• Park in a prohibited "NO PARKING ANYTIME" zone
